COVID PROCEDURE AND PROTECTIVE MEASURES
•
There will be a one way system in all venues. Please follow the signs.
•
Access will only be granted to buildings 10 mins prior to the start of class.
•
To reduce the number of people in each building, Parents/carers will be asked to drop off and
collect their child at the door. Except for Miss Julia’s Saturday morning classes (Pre-primary
and Primary children) where we ask that you limit the number of people with each student. NB
there will be no waiting area within St Andrew Church.
•
While waiting for classes please be aware of blocking the pavements. For classes at the
Unitarian and King Slocombe wait on Christ Pieces and at the Wesley use the King Street
entrance at the back of the church.
•
There will be no changing facilities available, so students should arrive already dressed.
•
Areas will be provided for coats etc in the studios.
•
Grade 2 ballet and upwards should bring a small towel to place over the barre.
•
Students may wish to wear a mask. This is not compulsory as they may feel incredibly
uncomfortable and have difficulty breathing wearing a mask.
•
The ISTD have recommended spilt soled jazz shoes be worn for the higher modern grades.
These can be purchased online. Grade 1, 2 & 3 may wear ballet shoes. Alternatively, they
can continue with bare feet but bring wipes to sanitize feet after class.
•
Hand sanitiser will be provided and should be used prior to entering the studio. It will also be
available during and after classes.
•
Studios will be kept well ventilated
•
Floor and Barre areas will be marked out as an aid to maintaining recommended distancing
•
Teachers will be wearing visors and cleaning will be undertaken between sets of children.
•
Track and Trace. It is particularly important that students do not attend classes if they feel
unwell and that you inform us if they are going to be absent. You need to let us know if
anyone that your child has been in contact with has symptoms of Covid-19.
•
Uniform. We will still be selling the basic uniform.
•
You can place orders by email, we will send you an invoice and the uniform will be given to
your child
•
You can make an appointment from 1st September to collect uniform in person
•
We can only take cash or cheques (payable to Dance of Hitchin) and should not be paid online
with fees
PLEASE NOTE: (9th Sept 2020) Following the recent implementation of the “Rule Of 6” - as an
Educational establishment we are permitted to allow more than 6 students in a class … providing we
